We Happy Few - A Unique Action Game

We Happy Few is a unique action game developed by Compulsion Games. The game is set in an alternative 1960s England, where conformity is of utmost importance. You play as one of the three citizens of Wellington Wells, who are trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial. The inhabitants of the city are drug-addled, and you'll have to fight or blend in with them, most of whom don’t take kindly to people who won’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

The game features a retrofuturistic city with a dark history that you'll uncover as you play through the intertwined narratives of the three characters. Each character has their strengths and weaknesses, and you'll have to use them to prepare for the future and engage in activities that aren’t exactly status quo in the artificially enthused society. We Happy Few offers a procedurally generated world, ensuring that no two playthroughs are alike. You can choose to take Joy or not, customize the difficulty level, play through the story, or customize the sandbox. The game also offers permadeath, dozens of weapons, tools, and devices to craft, puzzles and encounters to solve, and crazy weapons to fight with.
